First, a very happy birthday from the River to my son Brian, back in Madison.
Staying at Demopolis at least until tomorrow due to hurricane Michael.
Took the opportunity to jump on my bike and ride out to a Park/Campground and to visit our next lock. Can’t get very close to the lock because of 911 security. The park looked like a good place to spend time.
Stopped downtown on the way back for some ice cream. It is warm again today.
Final stop was the “old boats home”. Some are being resuscitated, some seem unlikely to ever see water again
Will keep checking on the storm. Right now I think Mobile is very doable, safely. Going beyond to the east is not likely since supplies may not be available.
We’ll see what happens!
