Reaching Cairo IL and the confluence of the Upper Mississippi and the Ohio Rivers. The Ohio is the larger river at this point. MikoMan is at mile 852, roughly the halfway point of the trip.
Approaching Olmstad, sight of a new dam and lock. MikoMan is struggling against the strong current, sputtering, likely due to some water probably getting into the fuel tank, advancing at 4 MPH. Still 30 miles from Paducah and mechanical help.
Pulled over to a sandy shore just past Olmstad for dinner and the night.
